Copyright Notice
3 ways to know if you own the copyright for the artwork you receive
Why Not Design is the owner of all original artwork created and supplied to our customers unless otherwise stated in an agreement of terms. Why Not Design uses many valuable resources to create our design projects and does not grant exclusive/unlimited usage rights for our original artwork simply by using our services.
With that said however, we are extremely fair in handling cases where more copyright usage is requested. For example, a typical project will fall under (1) one of the following limited uses:
- The use of our artwork for (1) one printed graphic design piece, and its re-printing through Why Not Design's printing services.
- The use of our artwork for (1) one web site as stated in the contract agreement. Typically this lasts for the duration of time that Why Not Design creates new artwork and/or updates for the web site, or the web site is hosted and/or maintained by WhyNotDomains.com.
- The use of our artwork for (1) one multimedia design project as stated in the contract agreement. Typically this lasts for the duration of time that Why Not Design creates new artwork, and/or updates, for the multimedia project.
Why Not Design is always willing to negotiate fair compensation of our hard work to help you meet your end goal. We have successfully reached contract agreements with numerous clients who have needed broader usage from our designs by spanning them across multiple mediums. This has actually helped our clients to enhance their overall design presence and marketing message, because the designers at Why Not Design knew up front that their designs needed to communicate effectively in a variety of forms.
This section may seem complex, but really it is just a simple way to ensure our creative efforts are protected in order to better serve our clients. There are no "hidden" issues or surprises! And we are always willing to work with you, period!
